Went to the hospital last night to keep Chas company in the ER. He forced me to watch them stitch it up, but that wasn't so bad, it was the cutting off dirty pieces of muscle tissue that really turned my stomach. 17 stitches, 3 of them piecing together the torn muscle.

But he was, as usual, in good spirits. That's my Chas <3

i captured a hamster at CVS!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, a cute little hamster! I captured him in my store tonight after several hours of him scaring my cashier and some customers. Who is afraid of hamsters, seriously? The pet store denied knowledge of said hamster, so it's MINE!
my co-workers lovingly named him after our beloved (ha ha?) CEO Tom Ryan. but you can call him Tommy Best. Because he is. he's amazing!!

I have too many rodents. I'm trying to get rid of some of them, if anyone is interested. However I'd really like to hold onto Tommy Best because he is the most amazing creature ever. For real.

I cooled off a bit about what happened with jeremy on Saturday, and this morning decided to stay until I could find another job.

Until I spent another hour in the office with jeremy because I wore jeans again. I know I know, bad move.
But it turned from "you have violated the dress code" to me crying, to "I don't trust you to run my store. I lost all respect for you. No one does or should trust or respect you, I should have known you were too immature to do this job. Do you even want to be a supervisor?"

At which point I said "no"
and gave him the date of my last day.
he said, verbatim, "Well, that's pretty shocking". And he meant it.
How can you say those awful things to someone, and be shocked when they decide not to take it?
That wasn't even the worst of what he said, but to recall it all will probably just make me cry again.

So, 20 days until complete CVS-liberation! Guess that's a good thing.

I'm not even nervous, I drove for 3 years without a license so I'm pretty sure I've got a handle on what to do.
The part that sucks is that the only person I could find with an acceptable vehicle is my grandmother, which means I can't smoke at all until I'm back home. Oh yeah, and she doesn't know I got arrested. In my family, we're not allowed to talk about such things.
When I got arrested like 5 years ago she sent me flowers with a "get well soon" card. That's what my family does, pretend they have no idea what's going on. This time she really doesn't though, or else she wouldn't help me. I am a horrible person, I know.
I also just went through the driver's manual and it says you can be denied a license for many reasons, one of which being a dwl [obviously] arrest - not conviction, but just arrest. So... even if I pass the test, They could still deny me. Then I might have some explaining to do to granny.

Hoping for the best.

Driving without a license finally caught up to me! I got arrested and spent the night in jail.
Bail was $40 and I had $37.63, what a bunch of shit, huh? Spent almost 12 hours in custody, which meant 12 hours in wrist-to-ankle restraints, they don't fuck around in North Attleboro. My court date is June 27th, and if I get mylicense before then my case gets thrown out. If not I'm facing jail time. So, yeah. Gonna get started on that :)

I got 70 cent raise today, and my promotion is offical!
The new DM came in and for once it wasn't a disaster. He was pleased, so Jeremy was pleased, so everyone was happy and in a good mood.
Now I have the entire weekend off!

I slept between 6 and 11am today. After 6, my neighborhood is buzzing with activity and constant traffic.
I had been lazy and still had not taken my air condition out of my window (which I did right when I woke up today, fucking COLD outside), so I can hear everything going on outside.
And I heard absolutely nothing, nothing at all, all night.
I don't get it! these people are fucking sneaky.

The car belongs to my up-stairs neighbors, who are on vacation until the 30th. So I called the police, but they never showed up. (edit: they showed up eventually, but I don't know what they did)
I didn't take a picture of the inside because well, not my car. But It was exactly like when my car was broken into. They haphazardly cut apart the console and carefully unplugged the stereo.
Whatever.
I hate this city.

HANSON - For the second time in 16 months, a suspicious fire has ravaged a section of the former Plymouth County Hospital complex.

A two-alarm blaze last night caused extensive damage to a ramshackle wooden structure behind the main building.

‘‘The building is pretty much a total loss,'' fire Lt. Paul Proudman said.

The two-story building, which at one time served as living quarters for nurses, has been boarded up and abandoned for years. The fire destroyed the roof and left the yellow clapboard structure gutted.

‘‘The fire is suspicious and is under investigation,'' Proudman said.

In April 2004, a fire partially destroyed the kitchen wing of the former tuberculosis hospital. Investigators believed that fire was intentionally set, but no one was ever charged.

The hospital, which once provided long-term care to patients with chronic and terminal illness, has been closed since 1992. Police have reported problems with teenagers breaking into the buildings.

Last night's blaze broke out shortly before 7 p.m. Heavy fire was coming from the building when firefighters arrived, Proudman said.

A second alarm drew crews from Whitman, Pembroke, Hanover and East Bridgewater. Rockland and Halifax covered Hanson's empty fire stations.

Firefighters used the hospital's two hydrants for water and ran a third hose to a hydrant on High Street.

The fire was brought under control by 8:30 p.m., Proudman said.

There were no injuries reported.

Firefighters were able to prevent the blaze from spreading to the main building.

The hospital property is at the center of a rancorous legal battle between the town and a Wellesley-based development group.

The town purchased the 56-acre site from Plymouth County for $950,000 in 1999.

In 2001, the town agreed to sell 23 acres to Baran Partners, who planned to build 49 townhouses and a 70-unit assisted-living facility.

However, the development firm had trouble obtaining water and sewer permits. After Baran defaulted on a $219,000 loan, Hanson filed suit in January in an attempt to regain control of the land.

Baran owner Paul A. Ferreira filed a civil lawsuit in March in Norfolk Superior Court against several Hanson officials alleging defamation, interference with business relations, civil conspiracy and violation of civil rights.

A federal bankruptcy court in July rejected Baran partners bankruptcy bid, clearing the way for the town's civil suit to proceed.
